Here we go again: Sunday - BamS day.
For a couple of weeks now i've had lots of fun drawing the narrative readerforum illustration of the BamS (Bild am Sonntag)*. This illustrations reflect the reader's opinion regarding current poilitical and social topics.

After having illustrated Angela Merkel crushing the german Reichstag, Superman Guido Westerwelle saving the Pakistanian victims of the flood with love handles and a lot of other things... Today's illustration shows Sigmar Gabriel riding his pope mobile through berlin's district Neuköln handing out band-aids to the people to keep them silent. Gabriel is being assisted by policemen. Behind them stumbles recently sacked thilo sarrazin cuffed in a pillory, gagged with his pension while carrying his new book "Deutschland schafft sich ab"**.

Sarrazin's new book caused controversial discussions among germans. Sarrazins optional resign from the German Central Bank job, connected with the condition of getting 1000 € pension more every month. Plus an interview with Gabriel in the last BamS: He points out that he wants Sarrazin to leave the SPD and that the solution for Integrationproblems in Germany is more police presence and "education, education, education!".
Well, that looks like we can expect more tax money being pumped into education within the near future - which is good news!
Cheers Anja
